History[]

Cornelius Shivers arrives to Hotel Transylvania to stay in his usual room of 1313. He is warmly welcomed by Aunt Lydia, one of his biggest fans. Mavis and her friends realise that room 1313 is messy, whilst Aunt Lydia and he are travelling up the elevator to his room, Hank, Wendy and Pedro manage to quickly clean the room up, just in time before the novelist and his host arrive to his room. Cornelius tells Lydia that his next book will be in honour of her. Shivers then goes to sleep at night in the bedroom, but awakens unhappy. He tells Mavis that everything is not how it usually is, due to the fact that his ghost writer, Maggie has not shown up, she writes his books during his sleep, due to the fact that he cannot write. He askes Mavis and her friends if they have seen Maggie the Ghost. Wendy Blob has a flashback of herself dancing next to a ghost, encouraging her to live her life freely, after which she takes the blob's advice.

So Mavis, Pedro, Wendy and Hank go inside of a huge mouth which serves as the hotel's bin, (which Hank, Wendy and Pedro used to clean Cornelius Shivers' room) to find Maggie and persuade her to come back to room 1313 and write Cornelius Shivers' books, however she replies to Mavis that she doesn't want to.

Mavis comes up with an idea for she and her friends to take the place of Maggie as ghost writers to complete Mr Shivers' book. Mavis disguises Hank as a ghost and introduces him to Cornelius Shivers as a colleague of Maggie. Whilst Cornelius sleeps, Mavis with the help of her friends writes the book. Cornelius then wakes up to find the final draft, which he gets published. A newspaper releases a very negative review of the book, and Cornelius' writing career is done for, making him go back to scurrying behind refrigerators. Aunt Lydia reads the review of the book and is in shock of it but is later happy to find that the evil queen character was based off of her.
