Love at First Bite[]
This is a Storyboarded scene that many fans felt should have been kept as it explained how Dracula and Martha Met instead of opening differently. This scene was an alternate opening. The scene can be found here: Love at First Bite
Johnny’s rap[]
This is a Scene everyone hated as it was extremely embarrassing to the entire film.
This scene is about Johnny Tired of the way drac and the gang make outdated music as he wanted to be more “now”. So he made a ridiculous rap that even Dracula hated.
Jail[]
Dracula, Dennis & their monster friends are in jail for child endangerment and mavis finds out After calling them.
Meet Vlad[]
Dracula meets Vlad at his cave to tell him how to make Dennis’s fangs grow. Drac is revealed to be a late Fanger

(Hotel transylvania )
Love at First Bite (alternative opening)-How Drac meets Martha and the birth of Mavis.
Shadows-The monsters leaving their homes and heading for the hotel. This scene was fully animated and was shown in the trailers.
Johnny's Rap-Johnny wanted to make current hip music as opposed to the outdated music at the hotel so he made a rap song.
Unused torture chamber scene
Another deleted scene is a mostly completed scene after Quasimodo captures Johnny we see Drac taking Mavis to a torture chamber to see Glen. The scene doesn't appear on the blu ray. The scene was presumably gonna be after Mavis saying she's gonna get married someday cuz of the shot that's not finished looks similar to the shot where Drac tells Mavis about her training fangs which was the scene used in place of the cut torture chamber scene.
(Hotel Transylvania 2)
Hotel T commercial (alternative opening 1)-A commercial for the hotel hosted by the Fly. It's unknown which draft had this opening.
She's coming home (alternative opening 2)-Drac waiting for Mavis to arrive home after a vacation with Johnny while playing with dolls. This scene was in the July 2014 draft of the script.
Making the hotel safe-Mavis taking Dennis to classes and Drac getting overprotective. This scene is present in the April 2014 draft but cut in the next draft. Its unknown why this scene was cut maybe due to time or not being super important to the plot.
The crew lands in jail-Drac and the gang end up in jail for child endangerment. Mavis calls them and sees them in jail so she heads straight home. By the time the July 2014 draft was written this scene was already cut out. This scene may had been cut due to being irrelevant to the plot as it would had made the movie more episodic. In early drafts with the jail scene intact afterwards Griffin was able to avoid being arrested so he calls Drac & breaks them out by tickling the deputy which Griffin steals his key. Blobby the shows up on his scooter and they head back to the hotel.
Raising the dead-Murray performed his sand storm at a cemetery where he awakens an elderly ghost couple named Mr and Mrs Lowenthal. The scene was still present in the July 2014 draft so it was probably cut relatively late in the game. Why it was cut is unknown probably for time and the characters of Mr and Mrs Lowenthal were dropped completely so instead Murray performs his sandstorm in the woods but hurts his back in the process.
Flashback to Drac's camp-On the way to the camp Drac explains to Dennis about his past at the camp. The scene is mostly completed but isn't mentioned in any of the drafts.
Meet dad aka meet vlad-Drac goes to Vlads cave for advice on Dennis. This scene remains intact in the movie novelization so it may had been cut at last minute.
Missing trailer scenes
Additionally In the Hotel Transylvania 2 trailer there are two unused scenes shown including one which shows Drac having x-ray vision to see if Dennis's fangs are growing and another of Drac telling Mavis he'll be lonely and gives her the pouty bat face. Both scenes despite being completed were cut in the film for unknown reasons and do not appear in the blu ray. The latter may had been inspired by the opening used in the movie novelization. The x ray part was mentioned in the script draft from July 2014.
Additionally the Early drafts had different openings including the September 2013 draft opening at a talk show called Queenie. The April 2014 draft had a opening with the monsters getting interviewed. The movie novelization had a opening in which Drac becomes worried about Mavis getting married and talks to her. The part of Drac giving Mavis the pouty bat face may had been from the opening used in the novelization. It's unknown why the final film completely abandoned these openings and just went straight for the wedding in the opening maybe cuz of time. The September 2013 draft had a subplot with a character named Carter Quinston who was to be a greedy business man that wanted to sell the Hotel but Drac declines. The subplot and Quinston character were deemed unnecessary to the plot so the subsequent drafts abandoned those ideas.This draft was quite different especially the 3rd act but Dennis still gets his fangs & Mavis and Johnny originally traveled to Paris instead of California.
