Klaus's parents were mentioned by him in Drop the Needle who tried to teach Klaus to become a bat and he never learned and then lied to the parents so they wouldn't find out.
Klaus' parents never appeared in the series for an unknown reason but it is presumed that they were killed by the Angry Humans when Klaus was small.
