Lycidias Dracula is an ancient member of the Dracula clan who has been referred to in several episodes:
- Mavis says "as Lycidias is my witness". This is derived from the phrase "as god as my witness" implying that Lycidias is venerated in a deific fashion to the Draculas.
- The Naming of the Shrew has Lydia reveal that she chose the name due to it resembling Lycidias (Lydia's birth name being Poopsie)
- What Lycidias Beneath has Mavis attempt the Vamp Stamp which Lycidias apparently made famous
WLB gives the most detail, including from Lydia:
- he chewed garlic at age 137
- "the most powerful vampire to ever NOT live"
Gene reveals that Lycidias used to babysit him, Lycidias calls him "little Eugene"
Lycidias had pet named Poopsie who Lydia was named after.
When he possesses Mavis, he is described as having "more power than all three of us combined" by Dracula, referencing himself, Lydia and Gene. The addition of Klaus doesn't do much to tip the scales.
Hank initially did a chalk drawing of him, and Wendy finds a color painting of him in an old book. After he possesses Mavis, he's also shown as a talking statue and then a talking shadow.
The shadow seems to be his final form which Wendy accidentally releases while dancing at the end of the episode.
