Hotel Transylvania: The Series[]

Not much is known about Medusa's past but Medusa has already changed Lydia's hairstyle and she started crying, in a play where Lydia was singing, Medusa "killed her" and cruelly apologized what angered Lydia and then Lydia began to hate Medusa ending the friendship. Medusa at some point was considered Aunt Lydia's only friend when she was growing up. That was until Medusa quite literally stabbed her in the back. After that, Lydia began her long hatred towards Medusa.

How Do You Solve a Problem Like Medusa[]

Centuries later Mavis invited Medusa to the Hotel in an attempt to make Aunt Lydia happy because she thought they were still friends. At the Hotel Medusa began to tease Lydia and torment her once more. While in the shower Medusa set her snake hair down while the snakes slept. During this time Mavis snuck into her room to give a gift basket to her. While inside Medusa's room she tried on the snake hair pretending to be Medusa. While pretending to turn things into stone she accidentally turned Medusa into stone as she was walking out of the shower.

Eventually Medusa was unfrozen in the main lobby when Mavis finally returned her snake hair back onto her head. Still in her bath robe Medusa quickly became embarrassed. In the distance Lydia watched Medusa's misfortune, smiling. Medusa becomes angry at Mavis for turning her to stone and wearing her coat and prepared to turn her to stone. Fortunately Lydia claimed that Mavis "wears it so much better than [her]" and used her powers to stick Medusa's glasses to her face. With Medusa being unable to turn anyone to stone Lydia went to her and mocked her, saying she had a staring problem. Lydia grounded Mavis for bringing Medusa in the first place, but Mavis thought it was worth seeing Lydia smile. Medusa then complained about her arm being on backwards after just getting a manicure, much to Mavis and Lydia's amusement.

Outside the Hotel Transylvania[]

After Medusa left, she told Frankenstein that not only were her clothes stolen but also her snakes, after the boatman went on vacation, Medusa had to return to the Hotel.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow[]

When she finally returned, she told Lydia that boatman went on vacation and Medusa then needed to go back to sleep. While she was asleep, Mavis and her friends accidentally shrunk her along with the blanket and Medusa had to hold on to survive, she think that Lydia was to blame for it and hid in her hair while she was blowing her nose on the blanket and while Lydia slept, Medusa turned Lydia's hair into clown hair. When they went to help Lydia, Medusa turned her clown hair into unkempt hair so they discovered that she was hiding there for Lydia's horror, when she came to Mavis to catch her, she created a pile of dandruff on Lydia's head and Mavis called the hair clipper to cut Lydia's hair which annoyed her. In the end Mavis and Medusa were forced to stay in a dome until Lydia's hair grew.
