Trivia[]
- Genndy Tartakovsky is a fan of Mel Brooks' work.
- It's possible he was gonna a voice a different character entirely in Hotel Transylvania 2. In the first draft of the script, Vlad didn't exist. In the first draft it had 2 deleted characters named Mr and Mrs Lowenthal who were to be an elderly ghost couple. In the draft, it mentions Mel Brooks and Martin Short meaning those two were considered to voice the couple. Vlad was added in the April 2014 draft and Mel Brooks was still mentioned during the scene with the Lowenthals. So it's possible someone else was gonna voice Vlad either that or Mel Brooks had two roles. By the July 2014 draft Mel Brooks was taken out of the Lowenthals scene.
