Mr. Hyde is a minor character in the 2012 animated film, Hotel Transylvania, and its subsequent sequels.

Description[]

Appearance[]

He is a deformed yellow monster with an underbite, messed up hair, and wears a black suit and a black top hat. He makes various cameos throughout the movie and is seen in various crowd scenes with other monsters. In production papers, he is mistakenly referred to as his good side, Dr. Jekyll, even though he is in a monster form. 

Personality[]

Not much is known about Mr. Hyde's personality in the movie, as he is a very minor character in the film.

Appearances[]

Hotel Transylvania[]

Mr. Hyde is seen at the entrance of Hotel Transylvania when Murray makes his entrance in the film.

He is later seen at the bar dancing to the rock song "118".

When in the game-room, Mr. Hyde is seen playing Bingo with a very bored look on his face. He plays Bingo with a Gargoyle.

At the gym, Mr. Hyde is seen watching Jonathan riding around on the scooter.

Mr. Hyde is seen attending Mavis's 1st party dancing to the song "Where Did the Time go, Girl?" After Jonathan apologizes to Bigfoot, he is seen on the right, dancing to the beat.

He later appears with the panicking monsters wanting to check out of the hotel after Jonathan was exposed as a human before Dracula reconciles with him and the other monsters.

Mr. Hyde later attends Mavis's 2nd party in the final scene dancing to "The Zing" song. He goes "Oh, oh, oh!" as the main characters fly on the haunted tables.

Hotel Transylvania 2[]

Mr. Hyde is seen attending the wedding of Johnny and Mavis. He is later seen at Dennis's first party outside the hotel. He is later seen as one of the party guests to fear Vlad's presence during Dennis's second party. After Bela's defeat, Mr. Hyde is finally seen celebrating Dennis's second party during the finale.

Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation[]

Mr. Hyde is one of the monsters that attends the wedding of the two spiked monsters. Mr. Hyde is later seen on the Gremlin Airlines were a Gremlin intentionally gives him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Mr. Hyde is later seen in several scenes on the Legacy Cruise with the other monsters. He is later seen at the Atlantis Casino during a gambling session. Mr. Hyde is one of the monsters present at the Atlantis party that ends up sabotaged by Abraham Van Helsing. He is also seen running from the brainwashed Kraken, and after the creature is eventually released from his brainwashed state, Mr. Hyde is seen dancing the Macarena with the other monsters. He is also one of the monsters that is seen scowling at Van Helsing for attacking him during the trip, and he's briefly seen at the hotel towards the end of the film.

Trivia[]

  • There is a deformed construction foreman monster that bares a resemblance to Mr. Hyde that was seen in the first half of the movie. Whether Mr. Hyde and the foreman are cousins or the same is unknown.
