Synopsis[]
Mavis‘ cousin shows up and challenges her to a game of phlegm ball.
Plot[]
In "Phlegm Ball", Mavis faces a family challenge centered around a rather unusual game. Mavis's cousin, Klaus, arrives at the hotel for a visit. He introduces Mavis to a bizarre game called "Phlegm Ball." Phlegm Ball, is a game that revolves around some sort of bodily fluid (hopefully not literal phlegm!). It could involve launching balls of slime, goo, or some other gross concoction out of a Yeti's nose. Mavis, being raised in a more human-friendly environment, is disgusted by the idea of Phlegm Ball. She feels pressured to participate to please her cousin and family, but also wrestle with her own aversion to the game. The episode centers around a Phlegm Ball competition between Mavis and her cousin. Despite her initial reservations, Mavis discovers a surprising talent for the game or find a way to win using her own strengths and cleverness. The competition could lead to some gross-out humor but ultimately strengthen the bond between Mavis and her cousin. Mavis learns a valuable lesson about embracing her monster heritage, even if it involves some gross activities.
