Trivia[]

  • This is the first Christmas episode of Hotel Transylvania, besides the commercials from the film. This is also the second 22-minute episode of the series; the first one is the Halloween episode, The Legend of Pumpkin Guts.
  • This episode is likely inspired by Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas (either the film or the poem; complete with narration, which is inspired by "The Night Before Christmas"), or Morbid Enterprises "Creepmas".
  • Krampus is a demon and an evil counterpart of Santa Claus. In this episode, just like Santa, Krampus brings presents to the monsters; however, according to German folklore, he actually kills and torments children if they been naughty on Christmas.
  • When Lydia said, “Bah! Humbug!” It’s a reference to Scrooge from Charles Dickens’ novel A Christmas Carol.
  • Drac breaks the 4th wall questioning why is he narrating the story.
